MP Waqf Board Committee questions the transparency of public endowment scholarships, demands an inquiry from the government
Scholarships offered by the Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board Committee have been the subject of controversy. Muslim social organizations have questioned the transparency of the waqf scholarships distributed by the waqf board's public endowment committee, accusing the waqf board officials of rewarding their relatives under the guise of scholarships. Social organizations allege that the board is benefiting their relatives in the name of scholarships without notification, while the board says that it is working to give scholarships to all the students who are applying for scholarships.
It is not the first time that the performance of the MP Waqf Board has been the subject of controversy but the Waqf Board and its committees have been embroiled in controversy. Abdul Nafees, Secretary, Minorities United Organization, Madhya Pradesh, said that the scholarships have been given by the Waqf Board's public endowment committee before but this is the first time that no advertisement has been published in the newspaper regarding the scholarship by the committee. Nor has any public notice been issued in this regard so that the public can know that scholarships are being given by the Waqf Board's Public Endowment Committee. Everything is being done so quietly by the Public Endowment Committee that No one is aware of the news. If the intention of the board management was right, it should have issued a circular, advertisement or notification to the public regarding the scholarship, but nothing has been done by the committee of the Waqf Board. The entire performance of the public endowments is in doubt and in this case we are the Minister for Minority Welfare They will demand an inquiry into the whole matter by meeting Habood and if such an inquiry is not held then they will take the matter to the people's court. Poor, orphaned children have the first right to the income of the Waqf Board. It cannot be tolerated that their right should be recognized and distributed among the rich.
On the other hand, Chief Executive Officer of Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board Muhammad Hasharuddin denies the allegations of social organizations. Scholarships are being issued to them for applying.
